And we're back!

It's been so long since we've seen our regulars that I thought we'd check in with everyone to see how they're doing. Thank you all for sticking around during the extended filler arc. I enjoyed reading all the comments and theories in between diaper changes and feedings. Oh, and sorry about the Five Deadly Venoms spoilers, but, I mean, come on. It's not like it's difficult to figure out how it's gonna end.

I've been working on a new site design for a good long while now and I've made some decent progress. My focus has been making the site responsive so you can read the comic on a phone without having to pinch too much. I think I've come up with a decent solution. I've got most everything wireframed. Now I just have to style things and create graphics and all that kinda thing and then figure out how to turn that shit into a wordpress/comicpress theme. Soooo no ETA on it, but if you want to see me hack away as I go, you can take a look at this link.

There are some other things I've been kicking around like reopening the online store, perhaps setting up a Patreon campaign, and some other merch type things. I would like 2014 to be a year where I get closer to my goal of doing YP full time. I don't think my comic is the type to go viral so depending on ad revenue as the primary monetization source guarantees that the comic will be no more than a hobby. I've got to branch out and try other things. With that in mind, please take this quick survey to give me some guidance.

Alright. Back to the grind.
PANEL 1

No dialog. Exterior of Kane's apartment. It's getting dark.

PANEL 2

Lance gets off the phone.

LANCE

My co-stars from the Five Dirty Venoms are in. They're talking about doing a second one.

KANE

You know, there was a sequel to the original. Kinda.

PANEL 3

Screen shot of a scene from The Five Deadly Venoms.

LANCE (Caption)

How the hell is that possible? Yang Tieh totally defeated the Poison Clan!

PANEL 4

Kane puts down his soda.

LANCE

Hey, where's Ally?

BODIE

With Julie.

KANE

Something about a cooking competition. Sounded like some stupid reality shit.

PANEL 5

iRate, Julie, and Ally stand in front of a dark warehouse.

ALLY

Sooo… The culinary future and the fate of your career will be determined in a busted ass warehouse. In the middle of nowhere Maryland.

This video is sort of a subtweet about some art twitter discourse. But I wanted to respond in video form rather than in written form so that you wouldn't misinterpret my words. Also not linking the discourse directly because I don't want to dogpile on the inspiration for my thoughts. But here are three ideas that I wanted to share with artists for us to keep in our brains as we go into the new year.
