The Japanese American National Museum in LA is hosting an exhibit on the life of George Takei. Opening in March 2017, the exhibit will feature personal items from George's collection and explore the many facets of his life and work. I got to work on the illustrations for the exhibit including the big poster image that's going to be used for all sorts of promotional stuff. Super excited for the opening!

Along with the exhibit, the museum plans to give away a comic as sort of the program for the show. Guess who's drawing it! So January and February may be a little spotty for YP comics as I get through pages. I'll be posting something every Friday, maybe some progress shots and specific panels from the project. Wish me luck!

This video is sort of a subtweet about some art twitter discourse. But I wanted to respond in video form rather than in written form so that you wouldn't misinterpret my words. Also not linking the discourse directly because I don't want to dogpile on the inspiration for my thoughts. But here are three ideas that I wanted to share with artists for us to keep in our brains as we go into the new year.
