Terribly Comforting Food [Comic]

I don't know why, but I find maul Chinese food to somehow be comforting.  It is terrible and tastes nothing like real Chinese food.  But I still can't completely hate on it.

NO SPX FOR ME

Small Press Expo is one of my favorite shows of the year.  The attendees are always on the hunt for new comics.  The exhibitors wear their love of comics on their sleeve.  The vibe is so energetic, it makes you want to do comics always.  Fucking love this show.

Yesterday was SPX table registration day.  Usually, it's in the beginning of March.  You fill out your form, mail in a check, and hope you make the cut. This year, they wanted to modernize the process and spent an extra few weeks testing out a new online system.

It didn't quite go as planned.

Sadly, I, along with some fellow locals, was unable to register for tables.  By the time things were somewhat sorted, they were already sold out.  This is great for SPX because it means that more and more creators want to do the show.  But for those of us who have supported it for a few years now, it completely blows.  It's going to be increasingly more difficult to get in to a show I love so dearly.

I'm half seriously considering renting a big ass vehicle of some kind and selling comics out of it, food truck style.  It sounds like an absolutely stupid idea which means it probably needs to happen.  We'll see how things pan out this week.  They're still trying to sort out who did and didn't get their payments in on time.

Now excuse me while I cry into my terrible Chinese food.
