Ah, it's so great when they don't question you about your rates. They either really respect your work or you're charging too little.

KATSUCON at the Gaylord

Katsucon 19 is this weekend and I will be there. It's held at the Gaylord hotel at the National Harbor which is a fairly new place in the are. There are a whole mess of trendy bars and restaurants and such. I can't really make recommendations for eats since the only time I've ever been down there is for conventions and I rarely leave the hotel. But there is a Peeps store that's full of nothing but Peepy goodness. So if you ever need to get your Easter on or weird tasting marshmallow on, you can find the Peeps store at the National Harbor.

MOUSE OVER

Poop jokes, the key to Kane's joy.

PANEL 1

Ally walks in. Bodie gestures to Kane who is visbly excited.

BODIE

Morning, Ally. Look who came in early! Erm, on time.

KANE

Forget that! Tell her about the shit filled day we're about to have!

PANEL 2

Ally puts her coffee down with a worried look.

ALLY

The what we're gonna what now?

BODIE

We're meeting a new client today. Better movement solutions. They make porta potties.

PANEL 3

Kane clenches his hand excitedly.

ALLY

Their initials are B. M. S.

KANE

I know! BIG MASSIVE SHIT!

PANEL 4

Bodie looks pensive.

BODIE

Well, they've got money. I think. They didn't flinch when I quoted them something stupid high. So we'll see how this goes.

This video is sort of a subtweet about some art twitter discourse. But I wanted to respond in video form rather than in written form so that you wouldn't misinterpret my words. Also not linking the discourse directly because I don't want to dogpile on the inspiration for my thoughts. But here are three ideas that I wanted to share with artists for us to keep in our brains as we go into the new year.
