Dumpling Zen [Comic]

I often find that zen zone when I'm doing something that's slightly mindless and repetitive, like coding HTML or mowing the lawn or cooking something or even coloring some times.  I can just turn off my brain and let go.

Also dumplings. I want more dumplings!!!!

ARTIST IN RESIDENCE (REPOST)

Next week, I’ll be hanging out at Artisphere in Arlington as part of the DC Conspiracy Magic Bullet artist in residence program (you know, I should probably get out to one of their meetings some day).  I’ll be there Thursday and Saturday to hang out and draw comics to anyone who comes and checks out the exhibit.  There will be pages from previous issues of Magic Bullet on display which should be a lot of fun.

So come on down, hang out, and draw some comics with me!

MOUSE OVER

There's zen in all kinds of pinching!

PANEL 1

No dialog. Exterior of Chez Wong.

PANEL 2

Bodie wiggles his fingers.

BODIE

Ah man, didn't think my fingers would get sore from dumpling pinching.

KANE

You know, I kinda liked it. It was a nice change of pace.

PANEL 3

Kane smiles and poses with his hands.

BODIE

You mean you don't enjoy sending comps back and forth only to lose the gig?

KANE

There's a calming zen to the repetition of the pinching.

PANEL 4

Bodie gestures towards his mouth. Kane leans back and rubs his belly.

BODIE

And you get to eat them when you're done!

KANE

That's the best part!

I've spent a month with the iPad Pro and have some thoughts on what types of creators will find this to be a useful tool. This would have been a very different review without the reveal of iPadOS this past week.

Please take my thoughts with many, many, MANY grains of sand. I don't have other devices to compare the Pro to so it's not a very thorough review in my mind. But I try to answer the question, "What type of creator is the iPad Pro for?"
