And that's how you make a dumpling!  Sorta.  You have to figure out how to do the filling and the dough.  But this is the basic mechanics of it all.

TOKUSATSU AND SUNDRY

I would like to be the tokusatsu vlogger for Felicia Day's Geek & Sundry Vlogs, so I submitted a video of me talking about my toku love.  They're looking for ten vloggers to add to their lineup.  They're going to weed down the submission to the top 30 in this first round.  There's a leader board you can follow which will factor into the decision, but they say it's not going to be the final word.  That's encouraging because I'm getting my ass handed to me vote wise.

So if you like tokusatsu as much as I do and would like to see me vlog about it all the time, please check out my submission and give me some love.  Honestly, I'd probably vlog about toku anyway.

Dumplings are magic!

PANEL 1

Julie demonstrates making a dumpling.

JULIE (Caption)

Turn the dough as you roll it so that the wrapper has a uniform thickness.

Spoon a small amount of filling dead center of the wrapper.

Wet the outside edge, fold it over, then pinch away.

PANEL 2

Julie holds up the dumpling. Kane pokes at it.

JULIE

That's it! A happy little dumpling.

BODIE

Even after watching you it all seems like magic.

This video is sort of a subtweet about some art twitter discourse. But I wanted to respond in video form rather than in written form so that you wouldn't misinterpret my words. Also not linking the discourse directly because I don't want to dogpile on the inspiration for my thoughts. But here are three ideas that I wanted to share with artists for us to keep in our brains as we go into the new year.
