Onore Metro [Comic]

So if you're a big ass Super Sentai/Kamen Rider fan, you'll get the joke in the last panel. For the rest of y'all, there's a trope in the genre where a villain will curse the hero of the show yelling "ONORE [HERO NAME]" which roughly translates to "DAMN YOU [HERO NAME]." Here's a fine example of the many times it happens in Kamen Rider Black.

So there you go, a little tokusatsu humor for ya!

ARTIST IN RESIDENCE (REPOST)

Next week, I’ll be hanging out at Artisphere in Arlington as part of the DC Conspiracy Magic Bullet artist in residence program (you know, I should probably get out to one of their meetings some day). I’ll be there Thursday and Saturday to hang out and draw comics to anyone who comes and checks out the exhibit. There will be pages from previous issues of Magic Bullet on display which should be a lot of fun.

So come on down, hang out, and draw some comics with me!

Just us lamenting the fact that we can't afford an office.

Ally pulls up a chair.

ALLY

What about a co-working space?

KANE

I should have thought of that! Tara's group works out of one in DC.

PANEL 3

Bodie chimes in.

BODIE

You think they might have space for another startup?

KANE

I can ask.

PANEL 4

Kane grimaces.

KANE

Thusly shall my fight with my ancient nemesis begin anew! ONORE METRO!

This video is sort of a subtweet about some art twitter discourse. But I wanted to respond in video form rather than in written form so that you wouldn't misinterpret my words. Also not linking the discourse directly because I don't want to dogpile on the inspiration for my thoughts. But here are three ideas that I wanted to share with artists for us to keep in our brains as we go into the new year.
