Awkward sexiness! I can draw that! Also naked ladies.

So I’ve never worn a catsuit, but I always imagine that they get super hot awful fast. Leather is not known as a breathable fabric and I’m guessing patent leather is even worse. I guess squishiness can be sexy, but I’m guessing it’s also uncomfortable.

Talk Story: Shattering the Secret Identities of Yellow Peril: Telling Asian American Stories in Comics

Boy, that’s a mouthful.

July 27 from 1:30pm to 3:30pm, I’m going to be in DC for a little event at the Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association in DC. We’ll be talking comics and Asianess and pretty much anything else we can think of.  There are some more details on the Facebook page including directions to the place. I’ve been told it might be an older audience so if you’ve ever wanted to see me squirm trying not to curse, this will be a good opportunity.

MOUSE OVER

Ahem. WHAT'S IN THE BOOOOOOOX?

PANEL 1

Ally stands awkwardly wearing a patent leather cat suit.

ALLY

YICK! How is this sexy? I'm all sweaty just standing here. So squishy.

ANNIE

Yum!

PANEL 2

Ally squirms. Annie gestures.

ALLY

This is weird. No wonder you strip these things off so quickly.

ANNIE

HAH! Well go on an' get something else.

PANEL 3

Ally looks through Annie's closet.

ALLY

Hmm. Let's see…

PANEL 4

Ally sees a box and crouches down.

ALLY

Oh, hello.

Magma Studio is a fun little web app. If you've got a browser, you've got a drawing app! Mostly. If you're using MacOS Safari, you get no tablet support. If you're using iOS Safari, you do get tablet support but no paste function. Both make me chuckle a bit. But overall, it's fun to play with. Sure, it could use some more functions in there, but I think it's a solid base app to build on. And you have draw with 30 friends at the same time! Big time art jam! Reminds me of the old oekaki days in the 90s.

So check it out. This is not sponsored, but I had fun with it and I think you will, too!
