Sexy Kung Fu Chefs is a comic that I would buy.

Panel one depicts the exterior of my favorite comic shop in the whole wide world, Big Planet Comics in Bethesda. I don't get out there nearly enough and it's been ages since I had a subscription there, but it was my very first comic shop and will always be my favorite. It's changed a lot since high school. They stock significantly more graphic novels and trade paperbacks than single floppies which I think is a great idea. And they have an excellent selection of indy books which is food for thought since I will soon be a publisher of an indy comic. The owner, Joel, is a great guy and still remembers me after all these years even if it's months between visits. I should really get out there more often.

In other news, if you've been following my Tumblr, you will have seen many iterations of the cover. I'm still working on the blasted thing and it's all down to Kane's face. It's not quite right just yet, but it's so fucking close. I'm hoping to get this shit done very very soon so I can send it all out to the printers this week so I can get the book in hand well before SPX. Cross your fingers, folks. This shit has been driving me fucking insane!

This video is sort of a subtweet about some art twitter discourse. But I wanted to respond in video form rather than in written form so that you wouldn't misinterpret my words. Also not linking the discourse directly because I don't want to dogpile on the inspiration for my thoughts. But here are three ideas that I wanted to share with artists for us to keep in our brains as we go into the new year.
