What "Break?"

It's been a long time, I shouldn't have left you,

Without a dope beat to step to.

It's been a long ass time since I've posted a proper YP comic. And we're still in the soft-relaunch period which means I'm still trying to figure out things like colors and format and all that. But for all tents and porpoises we're back!

It's been years! Where mah free comics??! 

Right, yes. Well.

I decided that in order for me to live my best life, I needed to transition to fulltime freelance work. This meant that most of what I did art wise had to have a paycheck at the end of it.

Unfortunately, YP never reached the traffic threshhold where ad revenue would make up a significant portion of my income. Writing and drawing took up so much time, time that I could have spent on paying gigs. Updating YP just wasn't practical.

It's been a few years now and I have things more under control. My schedule is sort of normalizing between work and taking care of Hazel. So I feel like it's about time to get back to it.

I'm gonna be spending this month figuring out format and such. I'm only going to be updating once a week because, let's face it, updating three times a week did me no favors. Also, the relaxed schedule will still give me plenty of time for pay work. I'm digging the scrolling format which read very well on mobile which I feel is where most people are reading comics these days. And if you're on desktop, the bigger panels are way in your face so you can see all of my art flaws up close and personal. Mostly, I gotta figure out if I like the color scheme or not. I think, at least for a while, I'll be using a limited color palette because it's special and arty and is challenging.
