Keen eyes may recognize Bethesda's
Tastee Diner in panel 1. It's open 24/7 which makes me hungry just thinking about it (typing this at 1am). It's not my favorite greasy spoon (Bob and Edith's gets that distinction), but it's the closest one to where I currently live. Strangely, I've only ever been to the Tastee and handful of times. I've always enjoyed the food and the quick service when I have gone. I guess it's just not the first place I think of when I'm looking for breakfast food for dinner.
I imagine if you're an adult actor, you have to sort of gauge the company you reveal said profession to carefully. Not that you really have anything to be ashamed about. But getting lectured on the morality of your profession would get tiresome after a while (really, after once). So it's probably a job you'd only talk about with people you're sure wouldn't mind.
Of course, Lance is just being a smart-ass.
