I think I've been to three art openings in my life which is kind of dreadful for someone who wants to art as a profession. I think it's important to interact with the community you want to be a part of and though I've certainly made my rounds in the webcomic world, I've had very little contact with the pop art/low brow/custom toy scene. If I believed in making New Year's resolutions, it would be to get out to more openings and check out the scene. There be art out there and I want to dive into those waters. So looking forward to 2013, along with getting book 2 all sorted, I want to try to get some paintings and customs out in the world. Time to kick this shit into to gear!

This video is sort of a subtweet about some art twitter discourse. But I wanted to respond in video form rather than in written form so that you wouldn't misinterpret my words. Also not linking the discourse directly because I don't want to dogpile on the inspiration for my thoughts. But here are three ideas that I wanted to share with artists for us to keep in our brains as we go into the new year.
