I hope you've enjoyed this episode of Yellow Peril Senapai, The Adventures of Lance-kun. I probably should have used more weird shaped panels and sparklies. There's a reason I don't do shoujo.

SUPER ART FAITOOOOOO

Going along with the manga theme, I like to think of Super Art Fight as an epic shounen battle manga. Between bouts, we go off to our home dojos and spend countless montage scenes practicing various marker skills. Ultimate Filler Stroke! Cutting Reverse Line! Rider Circle! That sort of thing. And then we meet on the field of battle. And no matter who wins, we all become ultimate bros when the fight is finished.

Yup, Super Art Fight is the greatest shounen comic evar! You have to see the madness live! Next Saturday, we return to the Ottobar. Tickets are selling like mad so get them shits now!

Saved From Stripping

I'm visiting my broheim in Seattle this weekend so I'm not gonna watch today's episode of Strip Search. I'm coming home on a red eye on Monday so I'm not sure I'll get to it then. But if I must, I'll sit through two episodes of that shit by Tuesday so there will be some kind of review next week. Unless it's too painful.

There was a time when I was a hopeless romantic.

High school was particularly bad. I was a bit ridiculous.

Will senpai ever notice me?

Lance hugs a boy while another one walks up to confront him.

College was slightly better, though I did have a chronic dating habit.

RANDOM BOY

Who's this?

YOUNG LANCE

Uh...

A boy walks off, giving a young Lance the finger. Young Lance shrugs.

LANCE (Caption)

Thing is, it was all surface level crush stuff. Break-ups sucked, but I kind brushed them off.

YOUNG LANCE

Meh.

That all changed when I met jared.

Everyone is an artist until some "adult" fucks it up

This video is sort of a subtweet about some art twitter discourse. But I wanted to respond in video form rather than in written form so that you wouldn't misinterpret my words. Also not linking the discourse directly because I don't want to dogpile on the inspiration for my thoughts. But here are three ideas that I wanted to share with artists for us to keep in our brains as we go into the new year.
