It's Good To Be The Boss
Posted May 19, 2010 at 12:00 am
Remember folks, when you own the place where you work, you can set your own lunch break! It's good to be the boss.

And we have a special guest in today's comic. A big special "No-Prize" to the person who guesses correctly!

What's this "No-Prize" I hear you asking. Back in the day when Stan Lee answered Marvel's letter column in the back of each comic, he would give out "No-Prizes" to readers who spotted continuity errors in the comic. Stan would send the reader an envelope with a letter explaining that they had won "no prize." Eventually, the "No-Prize" evolved to just a envelop with nothing inside it.

So I guess the equivalent in today's electronic world would be a blank email.

UPDATE: "No-Prizes" have been sent. Thank you to all who submitted a guess. Our special guest star is none other than SAM from Tak Toyoshima's Secret Asian Man! Be sure to check SAM every week. And while you're at it, pick up his book, Secret Asian Man: The Daily Days, which collects every SAM strip from his magical days of syndication.

Ahh... syndication! No fucking way will my shit ever get syndicated.

This video is sort of a subtweet about some art twitter discourse. But I wanted to respond in video form rather than in written form so that you wouldn't misinterpret my words. Also not linking the discourse directly because I don't want to dogpile on the inspiration for my thoughts. But here are three ideas that I wanted to share with artists for us to keep in our brains as we go into the new year.
