Making out probably isn't what's wrong. But I doubt Annie will mind.

SPYES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Holy crapola, I LOVE ME SOME SPX!!! Thank you to absolutely everyone who came out to see me!!! I had such a great time. I kinda wish I could do this every weekend. It was so awesome seeing old fans, meeting new ones, hanging out with fellow cartoonists. Man, this is the freaking life. If cartooning was like this all the time, I'd be okay with that for always.

Sadly, most of the time cartooning is sitting alone in a messy studio with your nose in a page.

Seriously, SPX is the best time of the year. If you're ever feeling down about your own work or just can't kick your own ass into gear, spending a few hours on the floor at SPX will inspire the shit out of you! The love for comics is infectious and you'll want to drop everything you're doing and make comics for the rest of the week.

Alright, now I've got to readjust and do the whole real life thing again. Bleh.

Ally leans back into Annie's couch, sweating.

ALLY

Ah. Almost makes me want to learn how to actually play guitar.

ANNIE

So, you gonna tell me what's going on?

PANEL 2

Ally looks a little surprised.

ALLY

What do you mean?

ANNIE

Darlin', it's two in the mornin'. You've been playing kinect like a junkie.

PANEL 3

Annie smiles, weakly.

ANNIE

I mean, it's fun watching someone else dance around for a change. But really, what's up?

PANEL 4

Ally bites her lip.

ALLY

Do…Do you want to make out?

This video is sort of a subtweet about some art twitter discourse. But I wanted to respond in video form rather than in written form so that you wouldn't misinterpret my words. Also not linking the discourse directly because I don't want to dogpile on the inspiration for my thoughts. But here are three ideas that I wanted to share with artists for us to keep in our brains as we go into the new year.
