So apparently the Lord & Taylor vs Lerner trial is over and we await a decision. I would love to be a fly on the wall in Lord & Taylor's corporate headquarters. I would really love to hear their rationalization for losing so much money on purpose just to prove their point.
Very curious to see how the jury ultimately decides.

It’s… I think it’s all about business ethics. My parent company alleges that the mall intentionally drove out tenants so that they could rebuild it as a town center. Our contract requires an “enclosed mall.” And since we helped build White Flint in the seventies, corporate feels that we are owed.

Bodie gives a side eye.

That’s all well and good, but you guys are bleeding money every day you stay open. Even if the mall settled, there’s no way that could make up for the money that you’ve already lost.
