Too Short For Boring [Comic]

Career advice for all!!! Backstage areas are kind of fascinating. It's like stepping into the soul of a venue. And apparently, the soul of the Ottobar is filled with a lot of dick drawings.

COMFY CON 2013

Soooo I completely missed out on Comfy Con this weekend. I wanted to do a Fuckin' Do It panel with my cohorts, but I heard about it last week way too late to assemble the troops. I may end up organizing something anyway because fuckin' do that shit!

If you missed out, like I did, you can check out the Comfy Con site to check out some of the panels and such. Most of them were run on Google Hangouts so the shit was saved on YouTube for all to watch.

I think Annie should be giving everyone career advice.

ANNIE (From dressing room)

Ah, good to get off my feet. And, I can actually hear you now.

PANEL 2

Ally sits next to Annie as she cleans off her makeup in the work mirror.

ALLY

Wow, it's really quiet back here.

ANNIE

So, sounds like it's a choice between steady boring work or less steady exciting stuff.

PANEL 3

Ally faces Annie.

ALLY

Basically, yeah. I mean, who can argue with regular income? It just feels like a step backwards.

PANEL 4

Annie raises her eyebrow.

ANNIE

Well, I shouldn't be handin' out career advice. But, hell, life's too short for boring.

MOUSE OVER

This video is sort of a subtweet about some art twitter discourse. But I wanted to respond in video form rather than in written form so that you wouldn't misinterpret my words. Also not linking the discourse directly because I don't want to dogpile on the inspiration for my thoughts. But here are three ideas that I wanted to share with artists for us to keep in our brains as we go into the new year.
