Twice Fried Dumplings [Comic]
Posted October 21, 2013 at 12:00 am
I've refried dumplings in a pan, but since I don't have a deep frier, I've never done this.  And I kinda need to because now my mouth is watering just thinking about it.

A friend of mine had a deep frier party.  He invited a bunch of us over and we brought various things to try to fry.  And we watched Ghost Rider because a flaming skull seemed appropriate.  If I had thought about it then, I would have brought over some dumplings.  Instead, I brought a pizza. Because I wanted a deep fried pizza, dammit.  And that's why America will always win in heart disease. Take that world!

MOUSE OVER

Twice fried dumplings are filled with LAVA!

Julie brings over a tray of dumplings.

You guys look like you could use some twice fried dumplings.

KANE

Never heard of them.

PANEL 2

A close shot of the dumplings.

JULIE (Caption)

Just made them up. Had some pan fried left over from yesterday. I tossed them into the deep frier to crisp them up a bit.

PANEL 3

Julie tries to warn Kane who has already popped a dumpling into his mouth.

JULIE

Careful. I just took them out so they-- oh...

PANEL 4

No dialog. Kane's eyes go wide.

PANEL 5

Kane screams at the top of his lungs.

KANE

HOT!!

This video is sort of a subtweet about some art twitter discourse. But I wanted to respond in video form rather than in written form so that you wouldn't misinterpret my words. Also not linking the discourse directly because I don't want to dogpile on the inspiration for my thoughts. But here are three ideas that I wanted to share with artists for us to keep in our brains as we go into the new year.
