According to the modern Asian American stereotype, we like to listen to the dance music. Whenever you see Asian gangsters on the tele or in movies, they're driving up in some kind of fancy car with some kind of shitty dance track blasting. Now while Asian dance/techno/pop/rap artists are popular in Asia, there aren't a whole lot of Asian American dance/techno/pop/rap artists States side. Which is why Far East Movement is fairly significant. They've carved out a name for themselves in a genre that surprisingly lacks Asian American artists. You may have heard their "Fly Like a G6" on your local Hot whatever station lately (here in DC it's Hot 99.5).

There's another track that they've released a video for that is far less lyrically retarded called "Rocketeer."


While "Like a G6" has earned them mainstream fame, "Rocketeer" has been adopted by Asian American YouTubers as a sort of anthem.
