This direct-to-DVD episode of Kamen Rider Double does not exactly represent the series as a whole. Yes, there's a lot of humor throughout the regular series. But it's never to this extent. Every Kamen Rider show releases a direct-to-video episode called a Hyper Battle Video. They're usually pretty goofy and have little to do with regular series continuity. Kamen Rider Faiz had a musical review which was kind of terrible.

Kamen Rider Double's Hyper Battle Video combines two of my very favorite things, Kamen Rider and tasty eats! The Iron Chef segment is so awesome.

If you haven't seen Kamen Rider Double, there are a lot of in-jokes and references in this thing that won't make much sense. And the over-cheesiness of this episode does not reflect the true tone of the series. I highly recommend Double for any oldtime noir mystery fans out there. But for now, please enjoy some Kamen Rider Iron Chef action!
