Yesterday, Mother Nature decided to remind the Washington, DC who's boss. Some fairly angry storms tore through the region leaving hundreds of thousands of homes and businesses without power. Guess who was part of that outage.

During the snowkill, snowmageddon, snopocalypse, our apartment complex managed to survive unscathed. The power never went out and water managed to stay running. This time, no such luck. The power went out completely. The backup generators failed to do their thing. And since the pumps that shoot the water throughout the building are electric, no running water. Fortunately, my parents live a few minutes away and though their power was also knocked out, they had running water. Audrey and I spent the night over at their place. I can't imagine what some of the elderly people in our apartment complex managed to do.

The thing that sucks is that I was minutes away from finishing coloring and getting ready to scan. That didn't happen. So there are no comics today. Hopefully they'll restore power to our building sometime today so there might be comics tonight, but I won't know until I get home from work. My fingers are crossed.

I'm supremely pissed off. I launched this comic with a five week buffer of updates. That has slowly dwindled down to no buffer. And now I'm missing an update because of things I can't control. It's annoying as all fuck.
